How it all began
DecoArt Creations was realized when Wendy Hoare , a mother of two young children, decided to embark on a second career to allow her to continue being a full-time mother. Many hours were spent attending art and other creative classes when her children were asleep or at school to develop her style which is still evolving. Initially she tried her hands at writing for children before discovering her first love in drawing then branched into illustrating for children. When the publisher's call took too long to come and tired of waiting, Wendy began creating artwork for the growing children's interior market. Wendy has been supplying artwork to a number of children's interior retail outlets in Melbourne over the past two years and in March 2006 through www.speckledegg.com.au, she had a commission to create the letters 'PLAY' for Australian Country Style magazine's May 2006 issue.
